Unfortunately, children are usually
the victims of lead poisoning. Their bodies absorb lead more
easily than adult bodies. Lead poisoning is affecting an estimated
890,000 preschoolers.
High levels of lead may cause brain
damage, developmental disabilities, nervous system injuries, growth
retardation and behavioral problems. Higher levels can result in a
coma or even death.
The most common exposure to lead is
from paint. If a building was constructed before 1978, it is
possible that lead paint was used.
If you suspect you or your child is
the victim of lead paint poisoning, you or your child may be entitled to
compensation. We will be happy to help you.
